Unlike our ornamental aluminum gates, these steel gates are not built by our own craftsmen here in Tennessee. They are, however, crafted with the best materials available and the highest of workmanship standards in the industry. Because of the greater weight of steel gates, it is more critical to take into consideration the strength of the structures to which the gates will be mounted.

Materials Used
Our products are well built and strong. All materials are chosen based on providing you with the highest quality product.
Our house design entrance gates are fabricated using 2" x 2" 14 gauge (.083") for the frames except for the hinge side which is fabricated of 11 gauge (.120"). Standard pickets are 3/4" 14 gauge (.083") spaced 4 1/2" o.c. Where solid bar is called for, such as in scroll, we use 1/4" x 1 1/4", 3/4" x 3/4", or 1/2" x 1/2".
On our house design pedestrian gates, we use 1 1/2" 14 gauge for frames and interior verticals. Scroll varies but we always lean on the heavy high quality side.

On custom orders, we encourage your input regarding the materials you wish us to use and will abide by your specifications. Our experience is always available to you in choosing materials when appropriate.
Construction
Custom items are fabricated according to your specifications and finished with our standard "best in the industry" epoxy/urethane finish. On large runs we have available hot zinc dip galvanizing and powder coating.
House designs of entrance gates, pedestrian gates, and railings are fabricated with sealed construction to keep moisture out and sealed with two-part epoxy primers to keep moisture from coming in contact with the iron. House finishes are electro statically applied and supplied by Acessa Coatings.
Our Finish
Our standard finish is two applications of a two-part zinc rich epoxy primer followed up by two applications of a two-part urethane top coat. This is considered the "best finish in the industry" for preventing oxidation/rust. If there were a better finish available, we would use it as quality is put first in all of our decisions. All finishes are applied electro statically using U.S. built Randsburg deuce two application systems. We buy all of our finishes from Acessa due to their high quality. Our customers overwhelmingly prefer satin finishes. Standard color finish on our steel gates is satin black, satin dark brown, and satin bronze. Any other color is considered custom and is an additional $100 charge.
All steel gates carry the same warranty on workmanship and materials as our aluminum gates. The steel is warranted against rust for five years unless installed near the ocean or other extremely salty environment. If your gate is not installed near the ocean or other salt hazard, you can expect years of trouble-free and rust-free performance from your steel gate.
