For Aluminum Gates

These are our aluminum latch assembly choices and how they work. We also offer keyed dead bolt options starting at $125. Please call or e-mail for details.

Our garden gate latch assembly comes on ALL standard sized garden gates. It allows the gate to swing in either direction and consists of two parts - 1) the spring assembly which attaches to the gate; and 2) the latch which will be attached to the post or other surface by the installer.

The operation of the assembly is as follows:
The spring is simply a piece of curved aluminum with a decorative leaf attached to the tip. The spring is easily moved with light pressure inward toward the gate to open. The latch itself is stationary with no moving parts. The spring should slide against the angled side of the latch and then lock into the center slot, holding the gate in that position. When properly installed, the gate can be closed by simply swinging the gate to the closed position.

Our gravity latch assembly allows the gate to open in one direction ONLY and consists of two parts - 1) the gate rod which is attached to the gate; and 2) the gravity latch which is to be attached to the post or other surface by the installer.

The operation of the assembly is as follows:
As the gate rod slides into the gravity latch, the center (moving) position of the latch will be forced upward by the gate rod. When the rod reaches the full closed position, this center portion of the latch will fall into the locked position by the simple force of gravity. Opening the gate is accomplished by applying light pressure to the top of this moving center piece of the latch allowing the gate rod to swing free. When properly installed, closing the gate is accomplished by gently swinging the gate to the closed position. Additional charge - $30
